Saalbach Hinterglem Leogang Fieberbrunn is one of the nicest and most complete ski resorts in Austria. the lovely mountain landscape is home to many accessible slopes that are located under the tree line that offer a scenic holiday. Especially when the fresh snow covers all the tree tops it is an amazing place to ski. The only thing missing is slopes that are located above 2000meters. the best feature of the ski resort however is the location of the slopes on both sides of the valley between Saalbach and Hinterglem. This creates great opportunities to make a skiing tour without getting lost from the main valley. But if you really love the black slopes you will be at the wrong place in Saalbach Hinterglem Leogang Fieberbrunn. Ever since the connection with Fieberbrunn in 2015-2016  you can choose to stay at Fieberbrunn which is a cheaper and more family friendly alternative to the busy towns of Saalbach and Hinterglem. après-ski is more your thing? No problem in Saalbach and Hinterglem you can find perfect opportunities for après-ski and nightlife.

The town of Saalbach offers a charming traditional set up where you can stroll through the cozy main street where cars are not allowed.

Strengths:

-Child friendly, the ski resort is perfect for kids to have an amazing time as well with child friendly facilities and plenty of easy slopes for beginners.

-Après-ski, predominantly located in Saalbach and Hintergrlemm you can party all night

Weak points:

-Busy, during the weekends and the main European( Dutch, German, UK and Belgian)  holiday weeks the resort can get a little crowded where waiting times at lifts can increase

-Snow security, the ski resort is not located at a high altitude so when the suns comes through the snow can get slush here sometimes later in the day.
