The Lachtal ski resort is a small resort with around 25km of slopes and is located in Styria. With a relatively high valley at 1600 meters above sea level the Lachtal offer a good snow security with perfect snow condition during the season. Due to the size and its location the ski resort is nice and quiet without many waiting times at the ski lifts.
If you are looking for a really authentic village at the ski resort Lachtal is not your place to be although the hotels and holiday homes give a nice winter sports vibe the Lachtal does not offer a perfectly authentic small scale village.
As said there are only 25km of slopes so you will have a nice day or 2 of skiing or boarding but that is about it. Perfect for a small stop through your holiday in Austria but not if you are looking to make some kms on the slopes. If that is what you are looking for make sure to check out the ski resorts in Tyrol and Salzburg
