About Skiparadies Reschenpass

The Skiparadies Reschenpass is a ski resort located on the border between Austria and Italy. This resort offers the best of both countries in terms of food on the slopes, if you are on the Austrian side you will find amazing Austrian food such as kaiserschmarre and if you are on the Italian side you fill find pizzas and pastas.

Ski paradise Reschenpass comprises 4 sub resorts that are connected by ski buses: berggkastel, schöneben, haider alm and maseben.

The 4 sub resorts:

Bergkastel

Bergkastel is the ski resort at nauders with a maximum altitude of 2850 meters above sealevel. Bergkastel is characterized by long decents and wide slopes including the widest slope of Austria.

Schöneben resort is located at the Italian side of Skiparadies Reschenpass and is quieter than bergkastel. Here you will find nice blue runs for beginners aswell as a few black runs for expert skiiers.

Haider alm, is located a little further from the other 2 sub resorts. The valley run is the best slope to take if you are here

Maseben maseben is the smallest sub resort and only offer two ski lifts and is only fun for a hour or two.

Strengths and weaknesses for Skiparadies Reschenpass

Strengths:

Quiet, apart from the European vacation weeks this resort is quiet and has no waiting times.

Food: as said above food on the slopes in great  especially in the Italian schöneben

The weak points:

No tours: because all resorts are separated by ski bus you will not be able to make large one day ski tours here.

Accessibility: you will have to drive over an hour from the nearest airport.

Flats: in the ski resort you will find some flat places where snowboarders will have to walk a view meters.
