About St. Pölten

St.Pölten is the capital city of the state lower Austria.  the city has about 55.000 inhabitants and is the largest city of lower Austria. St.Pölten is one of the oldest cities / towns in Austria and has been inhabited since the stone age. The city is located in the northern alpine foothills south of the Wachau and is part of the mostviertel ( a region of lower Austria )
