About Hinterstoder

Hinterstoder is best known for the world cup competitions and is located in upper Austria. The ski resort is medium sized and most slopes are located between 1400 and 1900 meters above sea level.

Most slopes in the Hinterstoder ski resort are easy slopes for beginners. Almost all slopes are located between the trees which makes it possible to ski relatively good with snow or mist.

Hinterstoder usually is quite quiet and only during the weekend can get a little more crowded by the locals.

Strengths and weak points

Strengths:

Atmosphere: Hintestoder is a typical mountain village with a great medium ski resort

Low prices: compared to other Austrian ski resorts Hinterstoder is one of the cheaper ones.

Weak points:

Après-ski: if you are the master off après-skiing this ski resort will disappoint your skills. You will be better off in a other Austrian ski resort such as Saalbach Hinterglemm, Ischgl or ski Arlberg.

Child friendly: Hinterstoder does not have a special child skiing lift or slope so keep that in mind if you are planning to come here with small children.
