The towns of leogang and fieberbrunn are more small scale.
The skicircus as it is called is one of the most complete skiing resorts of Austria. The beautiful mountains with a lot of slopes below the tree line create a unique sencery. The only thing missing in this skiing resort are slopes with more snow security that lay above 2000 meter.
The ski resort is perfect for ski tours with the ability to ski on both sides of the mountains. And because the 2 largest villages of saalbach and hinterglemm lie in the middle of the ski resort the skiing tours take you around the two villages which makes a beaufiul trip for the more advanced winter sporter.

Number 4 silvretta arena ischgl 238km

Number 5 schladming dachstein 234 km
Schladming dachstein or 4-berge-skschaukel stretches over 4 mountains that are all connected by skilifts. The 5th largest skiresort in austria offers a perfect amount of ski tours for more advanced skiers. But also beginners can have a great time in this ski resort.
For freestylers there is a nice funpark with everything you would love to see in one. Besides just skiing and boarding a 60km langlauf loipe is ready to go and for a special experience are multiple slopes eluminated for night skiing.
Schladmin dachstein has less apresski but if that is what you are looking for in the village of schladming is where you can find acactly what you are looking for.
A day trip to the hoher dachstein can not be excluded if you visit this ski resort. With the almost 3000 meter high dachstein and the surrounding mountains you can take a look at the panoramic platform to see from border to border, and eat in restaurant with the most beautiful
Number 6 salzburger sportwelt 225 KM

Even though not all slopes are combined you can access the entire sportwelt with the same ski pass. If you love to make large skiing tours this is not the perfect resort for you but if you do not mind to take a ski bus now and then you will have an amazing time.
Flachau and wagrain are the two villages to be if you want to have a great apresski all other villages are nice an calm.
