About The Gossau Lakes

 Lake Gossausee are located in the Salzkammergut region In the state of upper Austria. the 3 lakes are vorder Gosausee gosaulacke and hintere Gosausee. The vorder and hinterer Gosausee have practically no connection to each other. Both lakes are fed mainly by sources coming from the Dachstein glacier.

the vorderer Gosausee offers a view from the lake outflow towards the Dachstein is one of the most famous mountain motifs in Austria.

the gosaulacke is an episodic puddle of shallow water that experiences only a very small permanent inflow from the launigg karst spring and the small lake brand see. The water quality varies between perfectly clear and turbid waters.

The hintere Gosausee also offers amazing views.
